North Country Independent Living is a private non profit serving people of all disabilities of any age.   Over 51% of our board and staff are people with disabilities.  Our mission is to empower people with disabilities.  Our vision is communities that are free of attitudinal, physical and social barriers.  We serve Douglas, Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Price, Sawyer, Washburn and Burnett counties including Red Cliff, Bad River, Lac Courte Oreilles and St Croix Tribal Communities.  Our services include Individual and Systems Advocacy, Information & Referral,  Independent Living Skills Training, Peer Support, Transition, Transportation Voucher Program, Assistive Technology, Personal Care,  Work Incentives Benefits Counseling, Integrated Employment and ADA and disability consultation.  We also have a Native American Independent Living  project working directly within tribal communities.
